Coach Barr has loved the game of volleyball since the age of 13. She competed on her high school team as a middle and outside hitter. After high school, she went on to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition from The Ohio State University and a Master of Science degree in Nutrition from Case Western Reserve. She loved school and went back to become a physician assistant and has been in practice for over 14 years.
The 2025-26 season is Coach Barrs first year at AVC as an assistant coach. She looks forward to working with the athletes. She wants to be the kind of coach who builds players up, celebrates effort, improvement, and sportsmanship as much as wins and losses. She is excited to help young athletes grown and build their confidence this season. She is happy to be assisting coach Jessica McCabe and the opportunity AVC is giving her by allowing her to coach your athlete.
