Nutrition at AVC
AVC will be offering all athletes a female athlete nutritional consultant, Abby Grimm. She will host 6-8 seminars throughout the season covering various topics, and she also be available for athletes/their families to have individual meetings. The 6-8 sessions will be open to everyone and will cover things like recovery, hydration, hormones, packing for tournaments, etc.
We will announce her sessions ahead of time, and there will be no sign up necessary.
ABBY GRIMM
Abby Grimm is a functionally trained performance dietitian based in Cleveland, OH. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Dayton and completed her Master of Science in Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University. She works in private practice for FWDfuel Sports Nutrition, a company focused on bridging the gap between conventional sports nutrition and integrative and functional nutrition. She guides individuals on using lifestyle and food as medicine to optimize their health and performance and also specializes in working with females who suffer from hormone imbalances, menstrual irregularities, and poor gut health. Abby is on a mission to help athletes understand their physiology, in particular, the critical role food plays in optimizing hormonal and gut health, to in-turn escalate human performance.
